Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 9
Opening the Bible every day, is to learn more and more about the grace and mercy of God. Hebrews chapter 9, depicts the work of Jesus Christ, as he ministered before the Lord in the “Holy of Holies”, in heaven. We learn from this chapter, that Jesus Christ, our Lord, entered the Holy of Holies and offered His own blood, before the Father, as payment for our sins. This sacrifice, according to Hebrews 9:14, is what makes it possible for our conscience to be clean from dead works, so we can serve the “living God”.
It is a great comfort to me, to know that the blood of Jesus, is there before God everyday as an eternal sacrifice and payment for all my sin. As the old hymn says “The blood will never lose its power. I will spend time today praising and thanking My God for His mercy and forgiveness.
