Acts of the Holy Spirit - Chapter 6
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of wisdom and truth. As the number of new converts increased, the need for organization increased. The Apostles were being led by the Spirit and the Holy Spirit was providing the wisdom they needed to meet the needs of their expanding ministry. The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts to help the church to fulfill its purpose of reaching and making disciples. It is a beautiful thing to see God call believers in the church to exercise their spiritual gifts to minister through the church.
It blesses my heart to see young men and women in our church, growing in their faith, and providing leadership that our church needs. It is Acts 6 being lived out in the church all over again. Have you discovered your spiritual gift? Are you exercising your gift to bless the church? Pray for God to stir up the gift that you have received from the Holy Spirit and offer it to the Lord.
