Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 7
There is always opposition to the sharing of the gospel. Stephen was a man filled with the Holy Spirit and he had a passion to share the good news of the gospel. Our efforts to share the gospel may meet with resistance but God is blessed when we faithfully communicate the gospel through words and deeds. Stephen’s faithfulness and persistence in speaking the truth about Jesus greatly influenced Saul of Tarsus. I don’t think the Apostle Paul ever forgot the look on Stephen’s face as he was being stoned to death or the words he prayed in his dying moments, for God to forgive those who stoned him. A few days later Saul Tarsus met the Savior that Stephen had spoken about and his life was changed forever. May God use us as His faithful witnesses today as He used Stephen long ago.
