n chapter 4 Luke records the temptation of Jesus and How the Lord used the Word of God to overcome temptation. Luke records how Jesus began His ministry in His hometown but was rejected by the people who had watched Him grow up. Jesus quoted from the prophet Isaiah about the things that God the Father had sent Him to do.
Jesus left His hometown of Nazareth after the people tried to kill Him and He ministered in the town of Capernaum. Jesus healed many people and cast out demons all over the area. He performed many miracles in Capernaum because the people believed in Him. God honors faith and people are blessed when they put their their trust in Him.
