Wisdom for the Ages: Ecclesiastes 3
Solomon had been given some deep insights into the plans of God for man. Solomon had been shown by God that there are seasons in life. There is a time for the purposes of God to unfold. Solomon was made aware that God has a task for all men and he expressed that in verse 10. Solomon also said that "God has made everything beautiful in its time." God also helped Solomon to see that there were mysterious things about God that man would never know in this life (verse 11).
Solomon talked about the judgment of God on the righteous and the wicked which reminds us that we will all give an account to God for how we have lived. According to verse 12, God wants man to rejoice and do good things in life and enjoy the good of his labor; this is a gift from God. As we live our lives before God, may we remember that God is working in our life to conform us to the image of His Son. God makes all things beautiful in His time. God isn't finished with us yet so keep to the task that God has given us and continue in well doing.
