Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 6

main image

In this life, we face challenges and obstacles that can make us weary as we attempt to live out our faith. The New Testament believer is encouraged to press on in spite of the things that life throws at us. The writer of Hebrews warns us in chapter 6, that we can become sluggish in our walk with God. We are encouraged to look to those believers who are mature in their faith and have pressed on even under hardships.
Maintaining close fellowship with God by spending time with Him daily, allows us to secure the strength to keep pressing on. We are encouraged to move on toward maturity so we can be in a position to be a blessing to others.

Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 5

main image

Just knowing that I have access to the throne of grace gives me such comfort in this world. I can’t control the circumstances of this life, but I can come before the God who can. I can’t always discern between truth and lies, but I can pray for help to the God who knows all things.
Hebrews chapter 5 reminds me of my responsibility as a shepherd for His people. I am subject to weaknesses and prone to sin because I am human. I must ask The Lord to cover my sins and receive His forgiveness before I can minister to His people. I can have compassion and understanding for what people go through because I am subject to the same temptations. I must point people to the great and faithful “High Priest,” Jesus Christ the perfect one. Coming before His throne of grace daily is imperative if I am going to be a faithful minister to the  Children of God. Please pray for me.Just knowing that I have access to the throne of grace gives me such comfort in this world. I can’t control the circumstances of this life, but I can come before the God who can.
