Wisdom for Life's Journey - Proverbs 1

We begin today to read through the book of Proverbs this next month. This book is full of wisdom that comes from the Lord and will help us on our journey through this life on earth. Proverbs one begins by offering wisdom and understanding to any who would seek it through the words written in this book.
In the first few verses, the foundation for wisdom is established as the word is proclaimed that. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” We need wisdom everyday to be followers of Christ and accomplish His will. That is why it is so important for us to spend time with God everyday. Pray for the Lord to use this next month to bless you with wisdom that He can impart through His Word. I hope you enjoy the journey through Proverbs.

Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 13

The blood of Jesus offered to the Father for our sins, makes our salvation possible, and gives us access to God’s throne of grace. The book of Hebrews closes out with great words of exhortation and encouragement. We are told to keep loving our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are encouraged to remember those in prison and those mistreated because of the gospel. We are exhorting to honor our marriage vows and pray for our leaders.
How fitting that Hebrews closes out with a prayer that God would equip us to do His will and that He would produce fruit in us through His Holy Spirit. At last, we are urged to pay attention to the things written in this book. It cost Jesus a great price to give us access to the throne of God. Let us come before that throne every day to thank Jesus for His  great salvation and the fellowship we have with Him through faith in His “Awesome Sacrifice.”
