Wisdom for Life's Journey - Proverbs 9

We learn from the scriptures that attitude means so much. Wisdom teaches that one can do little to help those who refuse to receive help. Sometimes we can have the best intentions and still be rejected by others. Proverbs 9 says that a wise person will receive correction and profit from it. A just person is able to be taught and will increase in knowledge.
The fear of the Lord is where wisdom begins and through this knowledge we can better understand the will of God for our life.  The attitude by which we approach life greatly influences what we receive in life. The humble in spirit will be blessed by God to grow in wisdom and understanding. The proud will suffer for lack of wisdom that comes from the Lord. May we daily seek God with the attitude that spending time with Him will result in wisdom for life’s journey.

Wisdom for Life's Journey- Proverbs 8

Wisdom comes from God and dwells with God. Proverbs 8 tells us that before the foundations of the earth were ever laid, Wisdom  stood beside God as a master craftsman. God brought forth wisdom before He created anything on the earth. God makes His wisdom available to mankind. God desires for us to have wisdom that comes from heaven.
Proverbs 8 begins with wisdom crying out to man. From strategic positions on the hills and by the entrance gates wisdom shouts for mankind to follow her and heed her voice. Wisdom positions herself where the paths of life meet and she cries out to man to follow truth and righteousness. Wisdom points the way to a blessed life for those that would go that way. We are reminded that Jesus said that the right way is straight and the gate is narrow and only a few go that way. May we today, listen to the wisdom of God and choose the right path.
