Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 8

As we begin another week, I want to encourage everyone to keep on spending some time with the Lord each day. I hope you will continue to write letters or journal and express your love and thoughts to God. We are so blessed to be in a love relationship with Christ. Hebrews 8 reminds us that we live under a better covenant than those in the Old Testament. God’s laws, once written on stone, are now written on our hearts. We have the promise that the Holy Spirit will never leave us and God will never forsake us. This New Covenant was ratified by the blood of Jesus. We are under a better covenant because Jesus offered the perfect sacrifice [Himself], and that sacrifice satisfied God forever for those who trust in Jesus. Spend some time today thanking Christ for His  “Awesome Sacrifice”.

Access to the Throne of God - Day 7

The book of Hebrews is such an encouraging book to me. It reminds me of what I have as a child of God and a believer in Christ. I have an advocate with God; Jesus Christ my Lord. Jesus lives forever to perform the duties of a “High Priest”.  Hebrews 7:25 reminds us that Jesus lives forever to make intercession for those who come to God through Him.
Jesus represents the only hope for sinners to ever be reconciled to God. I have the privilege of coming before Him each day to express to Him my love and thankfulness that He prays for me before the Father in heaven. My future is secure in Him who has appeased the Father on my behalf. To Jesus, my Savior belongs all praise, honor and glory? Now and forever.
