Psalms: Truth and Treasures 20

King David must have spent a lot of time with God for him to have received such revelation from God. God revealed to David how He had fashioned him in the womb. David come to understand that he was fearfully and wonderfully made. David had come to understand that God was everywhere and there was no hiding from Him.
Our spending time with God will lead to God revealing things to us as we meditate on Him and His Word. David  asked God to search his heart and expose the sin in his life. David wanted to be in constant fellowship with God. David wanted to be led by God all the way to heaven. This should be the desire of our heart; to be in fellowship with God and be led by Him, all the way to heaven.

Psalms: Truth and Treasures 19

Spending time with the Lord each day and reading from His Word is one of the joys of life. That personal connection that we can have with Him is vital for our spiritual wellbeing. Contact with God Almighty, through His Word, reminds us of how “Awesome” God is. It seems that the Psalmist is hung up on God’s mercy in Psalms 136. He is enamored with the truth that God’s mercy endures forever.
To know that God’s mercy knows no bounds is comforting to us that trust in His mercy. Verse 23 of Psalm 136 says” He remembers us in our lowly state,” and verse 26 says “Oh give thanks to the God of heaven.” In our quiet time today, may we reflect on the truth that God’s mercy endures forever and thank Him for His great mercy.
