Access to the Throne - Day 10

The sacrifice that Jesus made for us, when he died at the cross for our sins, makes it possible for us to have these special times with God each day. Hebrews chapter 10 is full of assurance for us that are believers. The blood sacrifice that Jesus offered to the Father, was a perfect sacrifice. It is so perfect and complete that it only had to be offered one time. One of my favorite verses in all of the Bible is verse 14 of Hebrews chapter 10; “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”
I can’t express to you how much assurance that verse brings to my soul. To know  that the blood of Jesus, has satisfied God and secured my salvation for all of eternity is life changing. It leads me to want to worship and praise God and desire to serve Him. It leads me to want to spend time with Him today to express my love for Him. What an”Awesome God” we serve.

Access to the Throne of God - Hebrews 9

Opening the Bible every day, is to learn more and more about the grace and mercy of God. Hebrews chapter 9, depicts the work of Jesus Christ, as he ministered before the Lord in the “Holy of Holies”, in heaven. We learn from this chapter, that Jesus Christ, our Lord, entered the Holy of Holies and offered His own blood, before the Father, as payment for our sins. This sacrifice, according to Hebrews 9:14, is what makes it possible for our conscience to be clean from dead works, so we can serve the “living God”.
It is a great comfort to me, to know that the blood of Jesus, is there before God everyday as an eternal sacrifice and payment for all my sin. As the old hymn says “The blood will never lose its power. I will spend time today praising and thanking My God for His mercy and forgiveness.
