Meaningful Moments with God - Day 7

main image

This morning I sat out under an oak tree and had my special time with God. As I prayed to the Lord for my personal family and my church family the Lord reminded me that He has the power to deliver us. I don’t know if this Coronavirus is a judgment of God on the world or our country. There are some things that I see about where it began, what age group it affects and what age group it seemingly protects, what area’s in the country it has affected most and what it looks like under the microscope and I wonder. Could this be the judgment of God on the world? I don’t know the answer to that question, but as I prayed and meditated this morning, God reminded me of the “Passover” in Egypt during the days of Moses. I felt led to pray that God would provide a “Passover” blessing over my personal and church family; that if this virus is the judgment of God upon us, that He would in mercy spare us. This is the season of Passover as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. I encourage you to pray a “Passover” prayer for your personal and church family and when we gather together again for worship we will praise Him for His Passover.

Meaningful Moments with God - Day 4

In my time with God today, I was reminded as I read John 4 of how the Lord came to bring me “living water” almost 51 years ago. That day was the defining moment in my life that changed the course of my life forever.
Jesus told His disciples, in verse 34, that He came to do His Father’s will and to finish His work. As followers of Jesus, we are commanded to do His will and finish His work. That is why having some meaningful time with God each day is so important. Through that special time with God each day we can stay focused and be empowered for the work of sharing the “good news.”
When the Samaritan woman received “living water” she went into the city and told others where they could find “living water.” This time I spent with God today reminds me how important that is.
