Meaningful Moments with God - Day 15

These times with my Lord each day are becoming more intimate as He draws me closer to Him. God has made it possible for us to have intimate fellowship with Him. He tells us in John 15 how this intimate fellowship is possible. We must desire to spend time with Him. He said “Abide in Me and I in you”, that is an invitation to have fellowship with Christ. In this age of social media, people are invited to be friends or followers through “Facebook, Twitter or other forms of communication. Yet, nothing compares to the invitation we have received From Christ to be in intimate fellowship with Him. In verse 15, Jesus even said to His disciples that He would no longer call them servants but friends because they had spent times with Him and had began to experience a deeper intimacy with Him. They were sharing life together and He was sharing His heart with them. This is what happens when we begin to have a deep desire to spend time with God each day.

Meaningful Moments with God - Day 13

Spending time with The Lord daily gives our Lord the opportunity to give us direction for our life. I am prone to stray off course and get involved with my own agenda. I need God’s direction to keep me focused on my purpose in life. I have a mandate from God and a destiny to fulfill as I spend the days God has given me on this earth. I am saved to be a follower of Christ and serve Him. 
We receive the Holy Spirit as a gift from God when we are saved. The Holy Spirit is our “helper” our personal guide to navigating life. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in our life. As we spend time with God in a special place every day, we are putting ourselves in a position to be encountered by God. When God sees that we are serious about connecting with Him, He will supply through the Holy Spirit the power to transform our lives to be like Him. Spending time with Him each day is the pathway to the “abundant life.”
