Meaningful Moments with God - Day 6

As I went out this morning to walk and pray and spend time with God, the Lord reminded me to look for Him. We pray and seek the Lord but sometimes we get so caught up in praying and asking God for what we need that we fail to look for His presence in our lives. I have learned that God often reveals Himself in ways that we will miss if we aren’t careful to look for Him. It could be circumstances He arranges, a word spoken by a friend, a verse of scripture that jumps out at you, a song that you catch yourself singing.

When I have my quiet time with God, I ask Him to reveal Himself to me in some way and help me to see Him in the mysterious ways He moves in our lives. It is exciting to know that God has said that if I would draw close to Him, He would draw close to me. I never know when or how He is going to reveal Himself to me but knowing that He will keep me excited with anticipation of an encounter with Him that will bless my life.

Meaningful Moments with God - Day 3

I looked forward to spending time with the Lord this morning. I went on my prayer walk at 6:15 and asked God for direction and anointing to address the church with a video recording later this morning. I enjoyed reading John chapter three and as I wrote my one-page letter to God, I thanked Him for sending the Holy Spirit to show me my need for Christ.
These times with God help me to put things in perspective and help me to think about spiritual things. It also provides an opportunity for God to reveal Himself to me and grow me in my faith. Praying, listening, reading His Word and writing my thoughts down in a letter to God are spiritual exercises that lead to intimate fellowship with God.  A special time, a special place, connecting with God and living in Grace.
