Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 28
As we conclude our reading the book of Acts, we find Paul finally making it to Rome. It took months for Paul to make this trip. The Holy Spirit preserved him from shipwreck and being bitten by a viper. The Holy Spirit had more work for Paul before he would leave this earth and enter heaven. Paul would write several letters to Churches in Asia while he was imprisoned in Rome. Paul would spend two years in Rome before he was put to death. Paul finished the work God called him to do.
What a testimony Paul is to other believers. His faithfulness to serve the Lord under difficult circumstances encourages us to persevere and continue our course in life. The book of Acts really doesn’t have an ending. The Holy Spirit is still writing new chapters that describe the work of the Holy Spirit in believers today. Pray for the fullness of the Holy Spirit to enable you to be a faithful servant of the Lord as Paul was.
