Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 23

main image
In this chapter, Paul is brought before a Gentile ruler named Felix. Paul will have the opportunity to Tell Felix about his faith in Christ. Once again the Holy Spirit arranges an encounter where Paul can share the gospel. Paul is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ and makes an impression on Felix. How ready each of us should be when God gives us opportunities to share the gospel.
Felix is troubled but refuses to humble himself and receive Christ as Savior. Felix blood will not be on Paul’s hands because Paul was willing to tell him about God’s forgiveness. The most impressive thing about Paul was no matter what circumstances he found himself in, he was always ready and willing to talk about Jesus. He triumphed over his circumstances because the Holy Spirit living in him gave him the power to live victorious in life or death. He lived without fear and so should we.

Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 22

main image
In the previous chapter , Paul had made his way to Jerusalem and was arrested. In chapter 22,  Paul is in the hands of a mob who are determined to kill him. This chapter represents Paul’s defense of the gospel. In the midst of an angry mob, Paul attempts to share his personal testimony of how he came to know the Lord and why he preaches in the name of Jesus.
How often do we share our personal testimony of how we came to know and trust in Jesus? It is the most powerful tool we have in our witness for Christ. Paul’s testimony is written here in Acts 22 for all to see how the Holy Spirit brought him to believe in Jesus. Sit down soon and write out your testimony and then let others be blessed by it. Each of your children and grandchildren should have a copy of your testimony. It is the legacy of your faith and it will be a blessing to others and will produce spiritual fruit in some who read it.
