Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 17
The Holy Spirit sent Paul, Silas and Timothy to many cities to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It seems in every place they went there was opposition and rejection of the Word of God. What kept them going was in every place they went and preached, there were some who believed and came to faith in Christ. These few believers became a church and began to influence their city for Christ wherever they were. This was God’s way of reaching the world.
When Paul preached at Athens, he told them about the true and living God. In verse 28 he shared that those who believe in Jesus and surrender their life to Him become the offspring of God. Isn’t it great to be the spiritual offspring of God because those in Christ are a new creation. Praise the Lord; and thank God for the work of the Holy Spirit in your life.
