Acts of the Holy Spirit: Chapter 26

Acts 25 continues the story of Paul’s arrests and hearings before several high ranking Roman puppets. The Jewish religious rulers in Jerusalem want Paul condemned and killed. The Roman rulers who hear the case against Paul are not convinced of his guilt. They don’t know what to do with Paul. Paul finally appeals to be brought before Caesar in Rome.
Paul is not afraid because the Holy Spirit is guiding him. The Holy Spirit led him to Jerusalem to be arrested and the Holy Spirit will send him to Rome to be imprisoned for two years. Why would God allow Paul to be imprisoned for two years? Perhaps it was to give Paul time to write the divinely inspired letters that make up some of the New Testament books. These letters, written by Paul while in prison, have guided churches and believers for two thousand years. What is the Holy Spirit doing in your life so You can influence others for Christ?
